Context gives the agent definitions and conventions it should know before working on a task. It lives in dashboard settings and applies across integrations. All organization members can read these settings. Write plain text or Markdown, then select Save. Each scope accepts up to 12,000 characters. Changes apply on the next agent turn. Saving an empty field clears that scope. Organization context can describe company terminology and reporting conventions. Project context can define metrics, identifiers, and relationships between systems. The agent receives the full organization context and the selected project’s context automatically before each turn, including when no runner is connected. Organization-wide tasks, such as Slack requests without a selected project, receive context for all projects in the organization. The agent does not need to call a tool to retrieve it. If context cannot be loaded, the task reports an error instead of continuing without it. Context does not change capability permissions or approval requirements. Keep credentials in your secret manager.
